They are both 96 and lower body style. The white one would be worth looking at for half the price, it would have the 5.0 or 5.8 both decent engines.

I can't imagine paying that much for such an old truck, even though I'm a BIG fan of them. It would have to be TIP-TOP in every way, and exactly what I wanted.

No, there was no V6 F150 between '84-97. It's an I6 (4.9L), which is a VERY-durable engine, even if slightly neglected. I take pretty good care of mine (although I use the HELL out of it), and it has somewhere approaching a million miles without a rebuild. Your pics show it's an Eddie Bauer, which is usually a high-trim loaded package. But in '94-96, it seems there were quite a few 2WDs with the smallest engine (4.9L), manual trans (Mazda M5OD-R2, which is weak & problematic if not maintained), & velour bench instead of leather buckets. But that one does have alloy wheels & cab steps, which are rare & desirable. You should check their supports carefully for rust. Replacement supports are not cheap or easy-to-find.

The underbody looks OK, except the cheap red radius arm bushings & cheap shocks (without quad fronts). The rear bumper is tweaked (easy to fix); the drop-in over-the-rail bedliner has undoubtedly worn away some paint; and there are probably holes for the tool box bolts. The wetness on the side of the oil pan & wet stains on the concrete below would make me wonder how badly it leaks oil. I don't think I'd go over $3200 if the tires & alignment are good, the coolant is fresh, the A/C & cruise work, that radio has BlueTooth, and the PW/PM/PL/RKE all work. The trans & clutch would have to check out, too.

That's frank's truck - posts #6-8 are a spur of the conversation; not the OP's.

i don't think there was ever a V6 in an f150 until 1997 when the 4.2L was released. it was always an I6

absolutely. you can't wear them out. people are scared to buy them with high miles but don't realize how much possible life they have left in them

I agree with Steve83 on the price. My EB had only 130k when I bought it for $2900 4 years ago. It's only a 2wd, but it does have the 40/20/40 buckets and no rust or leaks at all.

oh i know what you are talking about now. i believe they were available in f100's as well in '82. they were severely underpowered. i think it was rated at like 112 hp max in the trucks
