96 auto smoking box loss od and speedo
96 5.0 auto. just put a rebuilt tranny in it about 300 miles ago I was going down the road and I smell electronic burning smell pull over and look under the dash near the column and the black box is still smoking. it is next to the green box. now the speedo and the electronic odometer not working the od light is flashing and will not go into overdrive. hopefuly nothing in the trans is causing this. help

Sounds like something shorted out. Couldn't say if the new tranny had
anything to with that, but probably it did not. Have you had any other
electrial issues with your truck?
