when u put the straight pipes on take two junk cats and cut them in half..then gut out the baffling and then rewield them on over your straight piples...then bobs your uncle you got two cats that look leagle and no one is alowd to cut them open to see if there leagle

I have a 96 with 5.0, I install shorty headers to bolt to the factory exhaust, then I cut off the converters right behind the crossover tube that the o2 sensor is in and welded on true dual exhaust of my choice from there, have had no issues since installation
