Default 95 Ignition system just "clicks"

So on my 95 F150 When I tried to crank it the solenoids both on the quarter panel and starter kick in but doesn't crank. Ground problem? Its happened before but I just usually had to turn the key back and forth quickly a few times to get it to crank. Not this time..battery seems to be okay. Please help, would like to go ice fishing.

First thing I usually check when it does that is the battery connection. Make sure you clean it up with a wire brush...both posts and cables. Hook them back up, making sure everything it tight. Replace connectors if they are bad.

Next, check to make sure the battery is charged. Check all connections between the solenoid and starter.

Since you're going ice fishing, I presume it's cold outside. How old is the battery?

Also try tapping on starter.. May free it up to crank. But if you have to keep doing that, then starter maybe be on way out.

I did try tapping the starter as well. Starter is pretty new too (tapped too hard on the last one). I also just noticed what looks like a ground wire to the engine is off, looks like the nut holding it to frame broke, could that effect? Just noticed that today

I don't think it should affect the starting issue at all. If you want to check it though, just use a set of jumper cables to create another ground between the motor and the body.

Does it just click once? If so you probably have a corroded positive battery cable. Jut put a new one on and you're good. If it clicks a lot you probably have a bad starter, or starter solenoid. I have had all of those happen to me. I had a nearly new starter and it ended up being bad. Then a few months later the battery cable went bad

I cleaned the battery good both posts and terminals plus wire brushed all the corrosion off the wires. I hooked everything back up tightly and still just the single click (not repeated). Both solenoids go off I can hear and felt the starter in-gauge but no crank. Starter is pretty new too. Battery was manufactured in July 2010 but I got it about 2011. Will change terminals this afternoon anyways.
