Default 95 f150 wont start need help!

hello people i traded my 2000 sonoma for a f150 and now i cant get it to start the starters new i turn the key on everything comes on you can hear the fuel pump starting but when you turn the key to start it there's a loud click. ive tried different batteries cleaned all the connections up even tried putting some coke on the ends to clean them up but im still getting the same thing anyone that could help me out?

Try and replace the starter solinoid on the passenger side fender, it's about $20 and easy to change. While you are at it clean the ground on the same fender by the battery, it could be the ground so do this first.

ive tried putting a scerdriver on the silonoid and it does the same thing as when i try it with the key ill check the grounds now and clean them off

just cleaned that ground off and got the same thing

im thinking it may be wires to the starter or somthing im going to try and put battey cables on the starter and see if it starts with straight power is there any other ways to check?

just put straight power to the starter still the same thing but its a new starter im stumped here folks

You got a bad starter, bad parts out of the box happen all the time.

Get a BFH and a block of wood. Smack the starter with it a couple times. Might have to try it a few times.

If it starts then, sure enough you got a junk starter.

And if u hit it just right and hard enough you'll brake the magnets inside.
