95 f150 rough idle HELP
95 f150 5.8 e40d 4x4. I just recently got my motor rebuilt....well before i took it to the shop i replaced the key cylinder because i lost my key so yes i drilled it out. Well The little metal gear, thrust washer and green plastic peice behind the key cylinder fell out and we put them back in (how we think is right) from steeringcolumnservices.com instructions we paid to get. so they motor is brand new and only runs normal on a battery charger. without the charger it idles choppy, almost like there is a MASSIVE CAM in it and wants to shut off, but its only slightly bigger than stock. now the alternator is not getting power sent to it to even turn on, and it sounds like the fuel pump isnt pumping enough gas....but im confused because before the motor was rebuilt none of this was an issue....and also for some reason my gauges arent working??? so what should i do? im clueless

Check your fuses under the hood in the power distribution box and also under the dash. You probably had a fuse blow during the engine install. Check fuse P - 50 amp maxi fuse in the power distribution box which is for your gauges & charge indicator lamp. Voltage is applied through the charge indicator lamp circuit to the voltage regulator which turns it on.
