Exclamation 95 F150 Mystery Knock (with Video)

1995 F150
Straight Six
M5R2 5 Speed
4x4

For some time now my F150 has developed a mysterious knock. It really is only audible past half throttle (maybe closer to 1/3 thottle). It is most noticeable under load, for instance when climbing a hill, or directly after shifting. For instance right after shifting from 3rd to 4th it'll be very loud and then once you get up to cruising speed and let off the gas it'll quiet down.

I've noticed a pretty decent loss of power since it's started happening.

No check engine light. Tried Seafoaming, then new plugs and wires. No change.

Video One:
For this video I put my phone down by the shifter boot, so it picked up some other noise from the transmission. Try contrasting the sound to video 2.

Brief Summary of times when you can really hear the knock:
1:44 Slight Hill
2:20 Slight Hill in O/D
3:04 Hill in 3rd
3:18 Early Shift into 4th
4:07 Take Off

Video Two: You can barely hear it, if at all in this video.

As far as I know, timing is set stock (-10BTC I think). How can I check the timing?

Running 4 quarts of 10W-40 conventional oil w/ 1 quart of Lucas stabilizer.

I finished uploading the 1st video. If you listen you can hear it pretty well at the times I have listed below it.

Yeah its kinda hard to hear the knock, but from what I heard it almost sounds like an exhaust leak. To me it was more a tick than a knock. Hence the reason why you hear it past half throttle because its pushing more air through the exhaust, making more leak out, hence the knock/tick.

what have you seafoamed? just gas or vaccum too? I would also say exhaust leak but I have heard something about the plug gap too.

Seafoam was pulled into the intake via brake booster vacuum line, and then the rest I dumped in the gas. That was about a month or so ago. I waited a couple tanks of gas and then did the plugs. They were Motorcrafts gapped at .044, as per the sticker under the hood, which called for .042-.046.

Is the exhaust leak idea even at lower RPMs though? Say I shift from 3rd to 4th... the RPMs will drop down to like 1400 after the shift. I'll be giving it gas to speed up, and that's when I hear it.

Yes that is what an exhaust leak will do. It does it then because your probably giving it more gas to accelerate. Unless its super bad, it will do it whenever you are on it, giving it gas.
