Default Stupid Emissions Question

If I have emissions testing in my state (DE), can I gut the two inline cats on my truck or will that be detrimental? If I knock the guts out of the cats, will it (the guts) all blow out the exhaust or do I need to get it out some other way?

Get yourself a Magnaflow exhaust. It only has one cat and should still pass emissions.

Keep the cats in it will never pass with out them in. your trucks engine was destined to run with all the emission systems funtioning when one goes out the engine runs differently which usually equals low power bad gas mileage or in my friends case burning a hole in his piston because his egr was not working properly for 200 bucks you can get 2 new cats and put them on easy.

gonna throw this out there, there was a lot more wrong with your buddies truck than just no cat and a bad egr. Also removing cats does not equal low power or bad gas mileage. Removing them does however equal no chance in hell of passing emissions.
