Not trying to hijack this thread but I just posted about doing a 351 swap and not a damn person replied lol I literally am buyi ng a crate motor and I'm wondering if my tranny and rearend will hold up to the power it'll push, plus I'm sure if this guy drops a 351 or 460 in his truck he'll need to know how much hp he can push on stock drivetrain... possibly?

That is a roller cam for a roller block... I'm not sure which block you have.

That one will work fine with Speed Density....
If you have a roller block F4TE 351W roller block from years 94-97 that cam is pretty decent for stock....Problem is the heads and intake manifold chokes those motors.
Better off leaving that stock cam in then replace the intake manifold, Full exhaust and swap the heads.
OR keep factory heads and install 1.7 Roller rockers. The Factory E7 heads will handle 1.7 Rollers with out any modifications.
If you plan on replacing the cam I would stick with 1.6 Roller rockers unless you have enough valve clearance to piston.
If you Cam swap you will have to replace the push-rods and valve springs to handle the extra lift. If you don't it will work fine for a while. No guarantee for how long.

My plan gives the best of both worlds. I want to swap in a stroker 351. That means the engine will be a straight bolt-n and with the right stroker kit I can get 427 cubic inches for all the power and torque I could want. The complication is that I will throw out the stock EFI in favor of a Megasquirt aftermarket system. Just something to consider.

460
the 460 is the only way to go I've done many swaps. Just get a engine wiring harness and ecm from a doner the motor mounts from l&l and put a c5 or c6 behind it. And if your truck is a 4x4 then get a oil pan for a van will give the clearens And never look back.

So if I want to swap a 97 460 SD into my 94 f150 4X4 5.8L SD. I will need the 460 Engine & 4EOD tranny out of the donor truck as well as the PCM. Being both are SD/MAP trucks I can use the factory 5.8L wire harness correct?? Is there any pins that need to be moved?? I will need to either notch the frame by the oil filter or use a remote oil filter and get a oil pan from a Van. Then motor mounts. And with using another 4EOD tranny my transfer case will bolt right up and I won't have to move any of that correct?? Is there anything else??
