94 F150 Aftermarket Exhaust 4.9L
Everyone said not to put exhaust on my truck but I did anyway and I have no cats into a Flowmaster super 50 3 in inlet and 2 2.5 in outlets and they dump out behind the tires and it sounds great and people complement it all the time but my exhaust tips are taking a beating being behind the tires because I don't hesitate to go off road if I need to... does anyone with a 4.9L have their exhaust dumping out in front of the rear tires and how much is it going to change out the truck sounds if I change it? Thanks!

My 92 had it dumped under the cab i had a flowmaster 40 on it though and no cats also. It sounded great in the cab and outside it.

well i have no aftermarket comparison, but i just cut off the muffler and the 2nd cat, and reused the tail pipe and it made it plenty loud, but not obnoxiously. i have heard from other users saying that putting a "performance muffler" on a straight six turns it into an angry bumble bee.

running a thrush turbo in place of stock muffler with a downward exhaust tip . sounds good to me has a little bit of drone but not to bad . but im tempted to cut it off before the first cat and make it true dual in to thrush turbos
