93 4.9 exhaust?

Just call me sean. Really
You don't need the cats, and removing them won't even throw a code.
My truck has true duals, stock manifolds, an H-pipe kinda deal, and then 2 chambered mufflers exiting out the back. Its a good sound

I recently picked up a 93 4.9 stick and have been getting back in shape. The manifold on this truck runs to what appears to been 2 cats and the it is just cut off behind the second cat.
I was hoping for some suggestions on how improve this for a little better sound and do even need these cats, if they are both indeed cats?
I really appreciate any and all suggestions.
Thanks,
Jamie

You only need them to clean up emissions. There's no gain to removing them unless they are damaged. And in vehicles with downstream sensors you will get a code. You can get just as good sound with the right pipes and the truck will run better and cleaner. Why the hate? What did they ever do to anyone but make it easier to breath.
