When I got new tires Tire Works told me I'd need new tie rods because my current ones were bend or the alignment wouldn't hold. Today I was all over there and they look fine. Can some one show me what some good ones look like because these things look tough. Like they would need to take a good noticeable hit rather then bend.

worse case you could go to checker auto parts and take one outside and compare it, you dont have to buy it to check it out.

I would think if the tie rod was bent, alignment would not be possible in the first place. When the bushing itself is pooched, they just kinda wobble in & out of alignment w/ increased rate of wear. When the bushing is bad, you will see 1 tire change direction slightly before the other one, when slowly turning the steering wheel in opposite directions.

If yours are bad, go to O'Reilly Auto, and get MOOG steering parts. Great quality, and a lifetime warranty.

Turns out the tie ends were fine, did need a new pitman arm though.

Never known of one to 'go bad' in my life but, stranger things have happened. I don't even think you can bend em'... can you?
