Default 8th gen suspension vs 9th gen(lightning) questions

how much difference is there between 8th generation f150 2wd suspension compared to the 9th generation 2wd drive suspension

my main question-
will a 93-96 lightning suspension(coils front, leaf rear) fit on a 89 f150

how much lower is it than stock suspension

and has anyone done this before and is there anything to worry about

80-96 F150 same stuff, lightning might have a sportier suspension.

Lightning suspension will be stiffer and will lower the front by about 1" and the rear about 2". Also includes sway bars and traction "slapper" bars in rear to prevent axle windup under hard acceleration. Your truck will handle like a Mustang but will have the ride of a floor jack.

That's the funniest (and probably most truthful) thing I've heard all day!
