Yep. What he said. If you insist on tearing up your truck, do it away from public roads...per common sense AND forum policy.

Two kids died about 2 year ago racing on logging dirt roads not far from here. A group of high school kids were racing their trucks and one caught the soft shoulder and rolled. The 2 kids got ejected from the truck and died instantly going 75mph on a straight dirt road.

Seriously stick to the track.

Pretty hard for the young guys around here to do that. Nearest strip is a 2 hour drive away, and it all costs money. But I hear what you guys are saying completely. I fortunately got the race out of my bones along time ago and just like to watch now lol.

It's a small oval track. Usually guys wanna do 1/4 mile, and closest strip is Cayuga. Never been to barrie speedway but I'm pretty sure it's for stock cars and actuall organized races as opposed to just guys entering their cars/ trucks. CSCS Is another one that anyone can enter but it's a good drive away too.

The Dodge may beat you in a race but your ford does truck things better, you know, like going to work.

I bet if I had equivalent gear to him, along side same size tires, it would have been a pretty even race.

and you don't exactly need a "race track" like the older more responsible guys say haha :P just whatever road you go on, make sure its a long back road with no hills or serious potholes, and check and double check that there are no people or other cars coming, and that's as safe as your gonna get it. seat belts for safety too. a couple buddies riding passenger and a couple buddies out down the road a ways for communication would be ideal too.

This will not be tolerated. Trucks are big and heavy and have speed limiters for a reason. If you find it nessicary to hold a grudge match with someone to prove who's "manhood" is bigger, take it to the track and don't risk the life of others on the road.

If you post a thread like the one below, expect it to be closed. If you continue to post threads like the one below, expect to experience some consequences (ie: time off).

This guy i know has been talking **** about his truck everytime i see him, claims his truck will smoke my fx4. So today I told him lets race an get it over with.

I dont know if anybody has noticed but if you press the gas pedal at the very top it revs and accerlates wayy faster then if you press it at the bottom or middle.

So we lined up and did the 3 beep an go, right off the line i was pulling on him till around 90 when i proved my point an slowed down lol. After the race he was sooo pissed haha. Figured id share that with you guys.
This also has to be edited to include "I found a way to get around my speed limiter and now my truck can go 112mph... here's where I did it and a pic.

Examples of reckless driving &/or exhibition of speed will also not be tolerated!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to PM myself or any other moderator.

Pick a rainy day. Chances are the Dodge wont start and you win by default...

I'm well aware of the rules. I didn't start the thread, and all I'm saying, if you're not gonna keep it on a track, take every safety precaution possible.
