Default 5.8 idle/shifting issue

ok so heres the skinny. a couple weeks ago my truck started acting up a little and idling at around 1500 in park and neutral. once in a while it'll die in reverse too. well today it decided 1500 wasn't enough so it started to climb up and i killed it at 2200. also i noticed it kind of bouncing between gears a little bit. nothing violent but noticeable. im pretty sure i have no vacuum leaks and i checked my tranny fluid so i dunno where to go from here. btw its a 95 flareside 5.8 with about 183K HELP

Hi there;
I've read somewhere that the MLPS at the trans could be f..kedup. The computer doesn't get the info were the lever position is.

bye Ton

Goodmorning
My TPS was also scr...d up; had to replace it. It's not expensive and replaced in a half an hour.

With a TPS, there is no such thing as cleaning...it'd around 40 bucks, and you'll need a throttlebody gasket as well.
