Default 5.0 Exhaust. Help needed!

So guys, I'm thinking about doing one 2.5 inch pipe off of each header and having each one exit before the rear tire on each side, and not connecting them at all. What would be the best sounding muffler to put on each side? (I will have to have one on each side because they wont be connected) I have a 5.0.

Thanks!

I was thinking more along the lines of one flowmaster muffler on each side. Will that be too loud? Or what? Any suggestions needed.

No I had 1 flowmaster orig 40 series and it sounded ok but it definitely wasnt too loud. the glasspacks I have now are alot deeper... and maybe just a little louder. Maybe its cause im 17 but the glasspacks are alot better value. The flowmaster wasnt much different than my old stock muffler to be honest, definitely not $70 dollars better(or $140 if I wouldve had duals then)

I'm a glasspack guy too - not because I'm 17, but because they were the only way to go way back when I was 17.

It's like a straight pipe without all the popping when you let off the gas. And they get better with age as all the baffling burns out.

I like my bullet, its like a huge glasspack, it has a deeper sound than cherrybombs, which is nice.

well to go against everything everyone else has been saying, i prefer my flowmaster over glasspacks, i think glass packs are too raspy and i think it sounds cheap, i always say my flowmaster makes my 5.0 have the rich mans rumble, but its all personal opinion of what you want it to sound like, there is a bunch of videos on youtube where people start their trucks and rev them with different exhaust on it, check em out and if you still have trouble deciding eny meeny minny moe is an easy fix to that

I have almost that exact setup except with 2 and a 1/4 inch pipe and two purple hornie glasspacks. It's ridiculously loud so if you drive a lot of highway I'm not sure if i'd recommend it.

It is all kinds of awesome though. The setup is finished to in front of the rear tires nows.

I've got super 40's on mine, sounds awesome. Unfortunately I cant hear the awesomeness that good in the cab, but if someone drives it...ohh she sounds sweet.
