Are you using both tanks to clock the mpg? Like another poster said the cross fueling will screw the numbers up. When using the rear tank my 95 will return fuel to the front tank. So to figure mpg I fill both tanks and use the front one first.

I have a 94, lifted 4", 32's, 3:55 gears, and get 13 highway(through the mountains/and a little off roading). I havent changed the air filter since I bought the truck, maybe a K&N will help a little.

Single fuel tank.

Ok I never tried to scan it cause it never had any engine trouble or MIL lamp illumination. Tried to connect my Snap-on Verdict and couldn't communicate. Today I drug out a dusty box and got the Snap-on Modis out. I have no codes nor problems per say. It did say during the KOER test that it had unbalanced compression? Maybe that could be a small factor to the poor gas mileage???

I never use the rear pump cause the guy I got it from said it didn't work. Besides who can afford to fill both

I have a 91, 4x4, short bed, 3.55 gears, inline 6. I've had it since new. I have always gotten 12-13 mpg no matter how I drive (city, highway or mixed).

Ok guys, I'm the one who originated the post. I was getting on average 9mpg. I switched to a 31x10.5x15 street tire and bumped up to 12-13 mpg. Now the most recent development is putting factory tires back on and resetting the psom. I put 235/75R15's and now get from 15mpg to 16.5mpg. Not bad huh?
