87 f150 spittin
my 1987 ford f150 5.0 aod tranny idles great but when i give it gas it sputters and shacks it almost feels like my tranny is gonna rip out but the tranny and motor is brand new what the hell could this be, and when i hit a certain rpm it runs great. sometimes it doesnt do but lately it has been doing it quite often. i dont know what it could be i thought it was the timing so i played with it a little bit didnt do to much and i also know i have an exhaust leak in my headers but they have had a leak for awhile someone plzz help

Memory tells me of a service bulletin pertaining to the 5.0 engine of that time. Plug wires and their routing for the left bank, cyls 4-8. (drivers side) Its not that they were going to the wrong plug, or being close to each other, it was they crossed over each other at an angle that would induce or cross fire to the adjoining wire. High tech engineers stuff that I didn't believe untill its was proven to me. Something to do with the plastic clip where they secure to the valve cover, from there and back to the distributor. Not from the clip down to the plugs. You are most likely younger than me, and computor friendly. Check the TSB's for that era. 85-90
