Haha I made this one a while back
But yeah my grandad had a mustang with the 427 in it and I was wondering what all it would take to swap a crate motor
I have since gotten wiser with my schooling and realized its not a few bolt project, don't have time or money lol

Probly the easiest way to do that swap is,..... sell me the 427 and i will hook you up with a 5.8 w/90K and all the spare parts you can handle!

If you have a 427 just layin around, you would have MUCH more fun if you could find a rolling chasis of a mustang. Only truck meant to go fast is a F150 lightning. (or nascar trucks). Other than that...there isnt much out there.

OP- If you are looking for power for it, the best you can do is search the www. You will prob find a lot of guys out there with crazy fast cars, but really its the same. Only true differences would be your trans, rear might differ, and the weight and aerodynamics of your truck. You could find a stang running 10 seconds and you could have the same engine, trans, rear ratio, etc, but you wont run the saem times as him. You will be able to make the same kind of power though. So you're saying the only trucks meant to go fast are ones built for it? If you drop in a 427, lower it, and bulletproof the drivetrain to hold up to it then I'd say it's built for it. Traction might be a problem, but that's what wheel tubs and wide tires are for.

For those that don't know, you can stroke a 351w up to 427 cubic inches. It is quite common. If its any 427 crate engines being sold, this is it.

Look up L&L products i can't remember if they do 427 but I know they do 460 for all kinds of applications. Remote oil filters, motor mounts, accessory kits the whole thing. I'm interested to see how this all turns out, I sometimes fantasize a 460 in my Short wide.
