What I saw in the Junk yard is what i would consider a 40/20/40 bench because it had a center seat that folds down to a arm rest, cup holders and a cubby.

So are you saying that the bracket I posted above is not for my truck?

I thought I was better versed on this issue. Thanks for all the great information.

What you saw is really just a bench seat with a center arm rest/console. The 40/20/40 is really three separate seats - 2 bucket seats and a center jump seat.

I'm quite familiar with that bracket - I just walked by it in my basement. It will not bolt up to an Extended Cab floor pan. It will bolt up to a Regular or Crew cab. You might be able to use it if you drilled two new holes but there's really no reason to go that route. If you want bucket seats, they should be relatively easy to find in an Extended cab and will bolt in without the use of an adapter bracket.

It took me awhile to figure out and I'm still a little iffy on one detail.... Something changed with the Extended Cab starting in model year 1990. The seats are very different and the floor pan seems to have changed as well starting that year.
