4.9 i6 leaking coolant from pulley underneath alternator
Hey y'all, got under my truck to find where the leak is coming from and it looks like it is coming from the pulley that is underneath the alternator. Any help on which one that is? I'll attach the diagram. It looks like it's the It looks like it's the "A/P" pulley (number 8) in the diagram, but that means alternator pulley. My alternator actually sits above that one in the unmarked pulley (number 1) on the top left of the diagram. Please help, need to get my truck up and running again!
edit- could it be the smog pump?

When you copy a diagram, you should also copy the legend (key) for it. 1 is the alternator; A/P is air pump. But your photo clearly shows the W/P (4, water pump) leaking. It's coming from the weep hole that signals the internal seal has failed, and coolant is leaking through the rear bearing. Buy a new one - a GOOD one; not the cheapest import you can find.
I'm still running an original '95 WP - on mine, it was just the gasket that failed.

So I recommend you shop Amazon, eBay, RockAuto, etc. for a MotorCraft or other US-rebuilt name-brand pump. Or one from a good local parts store (NOT the zone) with a local warranty.
