Default 302 swap for 306HO 1992 nite edition

i have a 1992 nite edition single cab short bed, it currently has gt40 heads, 4.10s, k&n, long tubes with a magna pack, it has flat head pistons so the top end is ****, i have a 302 HO out of a fox body that i will rebuild and make into a 306, i plan to put the maf, edelbrock aluminum heads, edelbrock manifolds etc. this should be close to 350 hp. will the e40d hold up? i was thinking about going with a lighter transmission since the only towing i do is hauling my dirtbike around. i was thinking of an automatic T5? what are your opinions

I have a coyote motor for sale if you want to build it for a high compression naturally aspirated setup

If you plan on dropping a stock T5 mustang trans in your truck it will work...Although, in my opinion it will not hold up long and perform as well because of the weight of the truck.

Make sure you beef up either of the transmissions....

The stock E4od which is junk....When running more power you will create more heat...Plan on a bigger Auxiliary oil cooler.

I'm using a E4od which works fine with my application...Although, I would like to put a T5 in it.

The 92 E4OD had a lot of issues that were straightened out in later years (95-96). If you do get the E4OD built, make sure they do all the upgrades.
After that, well it stands up to a 7.3 deisel.
Or just run what you've got and shop for a backup unit in case she blows.

My stock e40d blew while I was on the freeway and I was about to miss my exit so I floored it, it sounded like it slipped then pulled and it just died. So I'm beefing up whatever I choose to go with, my brothers father in law has a 79 flare side with a 302 and t5 out of a foxbody, don't know if the t5 is stock but it holds up pretty well
