Default 300ci 0-60 times

Anyone with a 300 checked your 0-60 time? I'm using an app that uses GPS to calculate the 0-60mph time and decided to give it a go. I'm consistently getting 13 second runs with my 5 speed. I have a hell of a time keeping tire spin down in first gear. I know I'm easily losing two to three seconds before the rear tire gets traction and hooks up. I'm running 273 rear gear and my only mods are the air filter and timing bump. My truck just won't hook up for a solid run. I'm curious as to other's times with either the auto or manual.

I get horrible axle hop if my tires spin.

I don't get any hop unless I spin the tires on a hard pack dirt. On the asphalt and concrete, it's all spin. I can light the tires up at will and the clutch feels good and solid, but when I try to feather the clutch on a real hard take off, it feels kind of sloppy and I can smell the clutch slip. I know that with a non limited slip rear, it's not going to hook up right away and after I get a couple more financial obligations out of the way, I'm going salvage yard hunting for a 3.55ls rear end. Still gotta get tires and a windshield before the end of July for inspection. I'm easing towards some performance mods now and not so much on MPG's since I'm not working out of town as much.

I need to build a set of these, and flip my lower leafs so the long ends are forward.
That should kill the hop, right now its back breaking.
What was your shift rpm, for the 0-60.

I would think my trailer would help with the axle hop, with the extra weight on the rear. Which is also why my 0-60 times wouldn't help your comparison. It never comes off. I also need the 1-2 shift fork so those shifts are funny sometimes, but I can make it get up and go.

Couldn't honestly tell you. I paid more attention to the feel of the powerband than the rpm. I can tell you I was in third at 60 with a little power left. 1st get's me up to about 40 at red line with tons of pull. 2nd is so so, about 50-55mph and third hits 65 easy. I passed a truck on the interstate on the way home tonight. I was in 5th (OD) and just gassed on it from 65mph and was surprised when I glanced at the GPS and saw 89mph. My truck would NEVER do this before the air filter, plugs and timing bump. Overdrive used to just bog down and I had to shift back to 4th and try to scream vulgar words of encouragement to get anywhere close to 80. I had to look at the gps for my speed since the needle was pegged. By the way, I did glance at the intake temp, 84*F. Lately, that seems to be a perfect combination of temperature and power cruising in 5th.

My boys and I tried 0 to 60 last winter, 3.73 rear with auto. First run 15 seconds, tried again ran 16 seconds. Definitly wont outrun much of anything. I knew it was bad until we timed it, that was confirmation.

I can honestly say that it never crossed my mind even once to time my 4000 lb brick with doors runnin the old tractor motor. LOL I can also smoke the tires at will but it just seems silly when I have a Mustang built specifically to suck fuel and vaporize expensive tires....

I would guess my 90 hits 60 at around 16 seconds or so, I'm sure it'll be even slower with the 31's installed.

My truck hits 75 from a dead stop shifting at 5 in 15. Lots of work in it though.

Ive got the same clutch setup...Centerforce makes it a different vehicle doesn't it? I love it, makes it a joy to drive a manual again!
