Default 300 to 351w

Will the stock 5spd in this 88 f150 bolt up and work alright with the 351w?

Yes i think so. So how bad was the damage to the 300 is it fixable?

I believe so. Just looking into the future. That engine has 200k on it. And if it ever does die I'm just thinking of what ill do then.

And btw, found 2 bent push rods. And 2 leaky injectors

No I ordered a injector cleaning kit but haven't received it yet.

As soon as I get it ill put it back together

It will bolt up, just get a flywheel for it.

The first 300 in my truck quit at 362,432 miles the rings gave up!

Lol if you put new rings in it, it would have probably gone for another 362,432 miles!!!!

The only thing that has me concerned is the excessive valve noise. Which could have possibly been that push rod. But I'm not sure

How was the oil pressure? If the oil pressure is good, i would at lest replace the two lifter
Were the push rods were bent,maybe all of them ? And then again they may just have picked up some trash in them may just need to run some motor flush thru the engine.
