Default 3" body lift question

im planning on getting a 3" body lift for my truck, and im wondering if the spacers you get go on top of the original body mounts, or if you take the original body mounts off, and just use the spacers themselves?

if you have to take the orig body mounts off, are the spacers you get actually longer then 3"? i was thinking, the orig mounts are like 1.5-2" themselves, so if you just use a 3" spacer you arent actually getting a solid 3" lift, its only going to be like a 1" lift instead...

anyone who has done a body lift before, would be great if you let me know the deal with it!

yeah mines an ext cab, so ur saying just to leave the back 2 in and take the rad sadle ones, and the front 2 (cab mounts) right out?

im assuming there would be some sort of instructions or whatever with it though lol.

lol you leave everything that is on the truck now all the spacer washers, and rubber. the spacers were put there to level out the body from the factory, just put the new blocks on top of them. if you take out the spacers you will have body gap problems.

yeah i was kinda thinking that myself, plus you wont get the actual 3" lift if you take them out. main reason i wanted to know, is because i destroyed the rad sadle mounts taking it off and wanted to see if i needed to replace those when i get the lift lol.
