Default 2wd f150 with 250 rear leafs

i have an 87 f150 2wd with bad rear leaf springs, and i want to put 250 springs in as far as ive read is that the 2wd came with 2 1/2 inch wide springs and the 4wd came with 3 inch. can anybody tell me if the hangers from a f250 will direct bolt to a 2wd frame or would i have to drill holes. and any other info would be great as ive never done leaf springs before thanks for your time.

Measure the width and length at a junk yard, or ask them to measure it for you. Length must be the same if you are going to use it. Width can differ, but if width differs you'll need new hangers as you've already suggested. Hope that helps.
