Default 1996 Ford F150 Steering wheel

Ive got a 1996 ford f150 ext with a very wobbly steering wheel. It does not affect the way the truck drives and stills turns but the steering wheel is very loose and wobbly. Any thoughts what the problem might be?

Steering box could be worn out

Bearings in the column bad or if it's a tilt column the tilt assembly has come loose.

Define wobble. As in turning left or right. Or the wheel itself feeling like it moves. Or column?

The steering wheel just wobbles around but it does not effect the way the truck steers. Steering wheel grinds when I turn.

Sounds like the bearings in the column.

I'm going to say bearing aswell. Had it happen on my 96. Replace column with a used one for 100 bucks and worked like a charm
