I seem to get about 13 around town and a little over 15 on the highway... I wouldn't say that I have the softest foot.

that's not to low, what configuration do you have? like auto or manual, 5.0, 5.8, 4wd ect.

my 2wd 96 5.0 4sp auto extended cab short bed gets high teens, 20-21 on long freeway trips.

Hardly any. You'd spend $500 for MAYBE 1mpg. Then chances are, you'd alter your driving style and lose 2 or 3, lol. I don't beleive in spending hundreds of dollars to gain 1 or 2mpg, that buys a lot of gas and takes a long, long time to pay off. Hell, people even sell their paid off trucks to go buy the latest, newest model just for 1 or 2 mpg and think they're ahead. If you own it, it's paid for and it runs good, keep it. I weighed out my options between keeping my truck which was starting to rust or going newer.. I ended up spending over $12,000 on it and "restored" it. I like it more then any new truck I could have bought.
