The one on my pass. Side is new but my drivers side isn't. I think the mud that's up past my frame rails to the bottom of my radiotor might be why the draglink is all boogerd up. It's from the previous owner I'm guessing theygot it stuck or sunk
There is some mud under thebig rubber mat that is theinterior ofmy truck

The I-Beam pivot bushings will take a beating & wear out quicker than normal. Also, control during hard braking could be compromised as the bushings absorb some of the impact. I'd venture to say that abnormal tire wear would result as well.

Sorry to bring back a dead/dieing thread, but this seamed like a good thread to post in.
To the OP, you said you got lucky and you have the bolt-on brackets for the radius arms. Well my mom's truck (1993 2wd 5.0 auto) started making a funny noise, just like the one you described. We took it to a very small, family owned garage that we've always gone to, and they guy said a common problem is when you have the riveted brackets (my mom has that style), the rivets get worn enough to where the bracket can move/rattle/vibrate/make noise in general. He said to fix this you have to drill out the revets, and replace them with nuts and bolts. Also my mom had the bushings on the radius arms replaced, and it still make a slight noise. So if you guys are still having trouble, you might look into this solution. hope this helps some people.
Thanks, Connor

Misinstalled Radius Arm Bushings?
I am sorry too about bringing up a dead thread but I have a question. Truck is a '96 F150 ext. cab 4x4. Front end was acting weird and the Drivers side radius arm bushing was shot. Replaced the bracket and Bushings and had the truck brought in for a alignment. The thing now pulls to that side. I let go of the wheel and it drifts to the left. I searched the forums and came across this post by dewman. check post #4 and the 3rd pic, showing the finished product from the front. I see he kept the original washer on the arm, the first washer going from left to right in the pic. Was I supposed to leave that on? because I did not. I slid that off and just used what was in the kit. Now i am wondering if the source of my problem is that washer being gone. My guess is that without it that axle is sitting slightly behind the passenger side and thus the reason for the pull.
What do you guys think?
