1996 F-150 No Heat
I have a 1996 Ford F-150 that I haven't run on the road since July I live in New York state and its now getting cold here I just bought a new battery and a set of tires for it and was planning to put it on the road. I warmed the truck up but I am not getting any heat the thermostat reads right about average a little high but its low on coolant so I figured that's why its reading like that. Any ideas?

If it's low in coolant there is air trap in the heater core causing u not to have any heat . I would look for leaks and if u can't find any . Then fill up with coolant and get the air that trap out .

well first obviously fill it up with coolant. if the temp reads normal and still no heat, then that's not the problem. does the fan blow? you may need a new blower motor or possibly a resistor. resistors are about 20 bucks so id start with that.

Yes fan does blow fine, radiator fan works fine, I apologize I should have added more info about my truck its a 302 5 speed 4x4 the light three quarter ton frame with the cab lights. I work overnights I will go to autozone in the am and pick up some straight coolant and mix it and go from there then I will get back with you I am not sure if the coolant is leaking or if its going into the gasket since there is snow on the ground I will be able to see where its coming from, I appreciate the help guys.
