Default 1996 E4OD Into a 1995 F150

Hi everyone,

Need a new E4OD and I can get one out of a 1995 F150 that is OBD2. My 1995 F150 is OBD1 however. Can I use the OBD2 1995 E4OD in my 1995 OBD1 F150? Thank you for any help.

Best guess is you would have to change out the shift pack solenoid in the trans, but it is just a guess.

All '95 E4ODs are built the same internally. The only differences would be 2- or 4WD; and diesel/gas bellhousing. The design of the EEC has nothing to do with how the trans is built (for the same model year).
