X2 on that fosho! While my full roller C6 will have a tbrake, I will be foot braking the truck until I can upgrade the rear end

I was doing a little research yesterday and found it interesting that Currie enterprises uses a Dana 60 for their stage 2 builds but switch to a 9" for their stage 3 builds.

thats mostly due to cost....

why not an overdrive tranny for the best of both worlds...? the c6 is stout no lie but over drives will keep you in check if you cruise to local hamburger joint

They are proud of either axle lol

This build started out with a half filled D9 block then was offered a filled block and pistons with all machine work done for less than I could get the machine work done on the D9, so now that I'll have a filled block on alky, I doubt if it will see much if any street time.

Finally got back on the project over the weekend and got the steering done, passenger door bar welded in (holding off on the driver side until we get the interior done) Seat is in and the steering is done. Getting ready to fill all the holes in the firewall and start on the dash.
Also ordered the rings and bearings. So now I will be able to start putting the engine together and get my welding table back as it has been collecting the parts for the motor lol.

It's screwed from the factory. All the manuals have it, some automatics.

Tranny still in the truck.

This truck was a manual trans truck, so it had the removable pan. Its held in with 6 screws and some sealing adhesive. The automatics I have stripped have had the profile of the pan stamped into the hump, but not cut out.

I converted my drag truck over to manual brakes last night and got the Kirkey seat installed.
If anyone is interested, I have the 4-2 adapter designed for the master cylinder and can sell them complete with hardware. They can be made in aluminum or steel. Same with the seat mounts and the 4 link brackets. Kirkey makes a set of seat mounts but I wanted mine higher in the truck.
If you need any custom parts, I have full design and fab capabilities.
