What's the point of doing a motor swap twice?

I looked up the mustang shorties. Most people have either a.) body lift an 1" or 2. B.) cut the firewall and welded in a piece of metal or c.) swapped to the correct manifolds. I don't think you can cut and reweld the shorties because they are ceramic...right?

It don't look like they're ceramic, but I'm not sure. The manifolds on the truck not are craked and I'm afraid they'll break when I take them off, plus the studs almost always break. If I can keep the shorties, even getting a shop to do the fab work for the y-pipe will be cheaper than getting new manifolds.

He argued something that has been proven to work. I knew it wasn't a bolt-on, perfect match. I've seen him comment on other threads and he's usually negative on anyone not putting stock parts back on.
I can't afford to put in a rebuilt crate motor or rebuild one myself right now, that's where me acting like this is temporary comes from. I hope it lasts atleast a few years, then hopefully I'll have a different DD and can give the truck the attention it deserves.

my only advice is if you are going to take the time to make the exhaust work spend $150 and get some long tube headers they are better then shorties. just my opinion so if anyone doesn't like it just ignore it. have a good day

Where did you find long tubes for $150? I don't currently have the money for that anyway. I'm mainly pushing the shorties because I don't think the manifolds will come off the old motor in one piece and my exhaust shop can mod the y-pipe (if I can't get it done) for less than new manifolds would cost.

I was going to leave this thread alone but wow!!!

If you would be so kind, I'd like to see one example of me being negative of not putting stock parts back on. Just one. Please.
