So i bought this truck from a guy who removed the smog pump because the piping to the heads was rusted through. He removed the charcoal canister and just put a vacuum plug on the fuel vent line that is under the hood up by the radiator where it would have gone into the charcoal canister. Or atleast i think it is a fuel vent line. This doesn't seem safe to me to just have it under the hood with a plug on it. So for ypu guys who have.removed these items, what did you do with the vent line from the fuel tanks? Oh, 1988 f150 5.0 xlt lariat short bed with dual tanks.

Suggest you should be fine, as long as all the hoses were capped, including the one from the canister to the engine so as not to hoover in unfiltered air and you don't have an emissions sniff or visual inspection check for tag renewals in your area.
