1994 Ford F-150 5.0 Stalls after Startup
We're having issues with a 1994 Ford F-150 with the 5.0 engine and E4OD automatic transmission. It also has California emissions. The first time you try and start the truck it will start normally, run for about 15 to 30 seconds and then stall. The check engine light will flash. If you attempt to start it again immediately after it will start and run fine.
We have gotten codes for the throttle position sensor and coolant temp sensor and have replaced both. We have also replaced the idle air control valve and the air intake charge temperature sensor because we misread one of the codes. Now we get the system pass code even though the problem still remains.
Edit: Forgot to add that we also replaced the computer. Still have the same problem...
Any thoughts? Thanks!

you need to stop replacing parts. you are not certain about any of those being bad. really i'm leaning more toward a failure like the EEC or an o2 sensor. user Steve83 can give you more info than i can. let's wait and see what he has to say

Codes do NOT mean to change any part; not even if that part is mentioned in the code definition. Codes only indicate circuits whose signals are out-of-range or not responding properly. Replacement parts are typically inferior to originals, so if you still have them, I recommend you put them back on before beginning diagnosis.
We can't help you much without knowing about the truck AND the codes. Click these, read the captions, fill in your signature, and post EACH code number you got WITH its complete definition:

If any sensor is suspected contributing to a symptom, TEST it - don't remove or disturb it any more than necessary. This caption explains how to test most of them with a common, cheap DMM:

The EEC (and even modern PCMs) is not sophisticated enough to diagnose or even detect the symptom you're describing. If you plan to repair & maintain this truck yourself (which is the only way you'll be able to afford to drive it), you'll need to collect some tools, buy/borrow/rent some equipment, and keep a Haynes manual in the truck (when you're not reading it cover-to-cover). For this symptom, the first thing to determine is WHY it stalls: is it from lack of battery connection, lack of fuel, lack of spark, or something else? Read each of these:

Post every result you get from everything you check (visually, with a meter, or with a gauge). Lots of pics will help, and that first caption contains a link to instructions for embedding them free like I've done.
