Default 1993 F150 4X4 Build Up

Hello all. I would love to share with you my new project. Just bought her on Craigslist for $1500.00. Shes a 1993 F150 4x4 Auto with a 302. Rust free and she has lived here in Florida since new. 114,000 miles.

My plans are to tear down motor, inspect and refresh.

Strip Paint, new color BLACK

Complete interior red-do, color change to Black with Leather

Body and suspension lift

33X12.5"

Lots of Chrome and lots of lights.

Thanks for looking. Id love to share progress pics.

be prepared for tons of block sanding and wet sanding if you plan on doing the paint yourself, black is the worst color to paint an older vehicle.

and I bet it has some bondo in it, because that is not factory two tone paint. if it was the silver would go all the way down to the bottom body line on the side of the truck, and the wrap around to the part below the grill and above the bumper and the upper part of the stripe should go not into the upper body line.

Looks like a cool project!
If I could make one suggestion, you should budget a lower gear swap for the front and rear axles. The 302 and auto Trans will live a much happier life on 33" tires with 4.10 gears.
Plus the drivability will be so much better!

Oh and make sure to take LOTS of pictures and post your progress!

took the motor down for inspection this weekend. i was so happy to see the motor was super clean inside. Going to add the essentials, timing chain, water pump, belts, hoses , gaskets, cap, rotor, plugs, t-stat, etc.

While i was there i figured what the hell, its a great time to pull the evaporator core and give it a peek. Glad i did it was NASTY!!!!
So it got a new heater core, evap core and all new A/C hoses and what the hell may as well add a new alternator and A/C compressor too.
