Default time for the interior!

As much time and effort that i have put into the body, paint, undercarriage and engine bay its time to focus my attention on the interior.

I must devote just as much time to the inside as i gave to the outside. With that said i knew i was unable to leave the distressed dash board in the condition it was in, cracked, sun beat and poor! So, out it had to come.

Default dash repairs

Time to strip and prep the surface for repairs

First step clean with a de-greaser and water
Second step sand surface with a scotch-brite pad
third step clean surface with acetone cleaner

I will focus on the damaged and cracked areas. I will be using fiberglass and resin on the damaged areas. This will be time consuming. Many areas of the dash are broken away and missing. I will reconstruct them from the fiberglass and resin.

Why spend so much time reconstructing? Hit a couple jy's and see what you can find, then reconstruct what you can't find

Truthfully,,I seriously considered that option and simply decided to fix what I have, I really enjoy it, I know it's time consuming but that's still ok ,it's genuinly the real reason why I restore cars and trucks as a hobby

Please tell me how that dash cover comes off! I have tried multiple times on multiple occasions to locate all of the bolts and everything it requires to take that thing out. I want to clean under there so bad. Every time I take the stereo out, dash, dashpad, glovebox, etc. out, It makes me want to rip the whole interior out.. haha. I just know it's super dirty under there, and I know I can get it clean.. Just never knew how to take the cover off. =(
