Default Gas gage needle jumping around

95 F-150 and the darn needle is practically jumping around everywhere. Only difference is, its doing it on the rear tank and not the front.

Yeah it's normal, as in a normally broken part on our trucks. Fuel level sending unit.

Nice!

I had the same problem (still do from time to time), whenever I go offroad my gas level bounces from full to empty and vice versa. Joking aside, if you don't want to replace the fuel level sending unit then what TheCollector suggested works well. If you have a trip meter then reset it whenever you fill up your tank. I found that my "low fuel" light will start nagging me around 370-380 miles-2 gallons left so that comes to roughly 400 miles per tank. Simply refill your tank and reset your tripmeter, easy way to avoid it! However, I don't recommend letting your truck reach near empty...for obvious reasons

Some of us don't have a low fuel light, or a working gauge.... Been running straight tripometer for almost 2 years. Ran out 3 times in total

Mine does not work either just like the bulb for my bright lights has burnt out as well. My chimes work so the light maybe be blown in that as well. Need to get some new bulbs and replace them. Too much **** to do and not enough time to do it lol. Anyone want to come work on my truck for free? Good experience!!!!!
