Unhappy 1991 ford. New wheels wont fit over hubs

hey there. New to the site. I Just bought some wheels at an auction. they were universal 5 bolt. I bought 5 of them for 60 buck so I'm not out much. but anyway, the center bore of the rim is too small. the lugs match up perfect but they will not fit all the way over the hubs. the center bore is about 1/4 inch too small. I was wondering if somebody could tell me if there was a way around this? is there some kind of adapter or spacer that would fit around the hub and basically convert my wheels from lug-centric to hub-centric. and if this is possible, what sizes and measurements would I need? I'm not too familiar with any of that. any help is appreciated even if you cant answer every question. Thanks. and BTW, its just an old farm truck so if it isn't exactly a show quality setup, it doesn't bother me. I just want these rims to work

If they're aluminum wheels see if you can find a rim or metal fab shop that can open up the bore for you.

Do you have a picture of them? I had a similar problem with a set of dodge rims.

Should be able to do that with steel wheels also right?

here is what the rims look like. I don't really want to bore them out if I don't have to. Im not sure how bad that would affect the strength of them
