Sorry, KBB holds no water.
A vehicle is worth exactly what a man's willing to pay for it, and not a penny more.
KBB is about as useful as those screen doors on the submarine.
I bought my truck for 3K, but they are selling around here (SC) for 5K all day long, but that's a truck that runs great, and is in damn good condition... with all maintenance documented from the original owner. I stole my damn truck for 3K. (Again, around here... trucks are more valuable for some reason)

NTM... I know its just a reference, but KBB is based off a national average. You should expect to take off $1500 for the trade in value and $700 for private party sales in most areas.

KBB doesn't mean squat. The value listed in Boogers post isn't even close to what is paid here. Excellent condition here for a '91 will pull about $1500 tops.
He did say he just listed it high because he doesn't care if it sells but if it does for that much then he will jump on it. We all know better than to pay that much for it.
