So after talking to a couple of people, most of them I've known for years and they know engines pretty well. Most of their opinions are that I need to get a new engine entirely as that would cost less than rebuilding the one I have and I agree with them so I think I'll be looking for a new engine soon.

Sorry about the wait it slipped my mind. The box is 17 1/2 inches tall.

Hey man, I absolutely love your build! I got a '90 myself and looking to do a lot of this stuff.

I read your engine stuff... My engine blew at 82K because my lower radiator hose blew off on the freeway, couldn't smell anything cause it was raining, gauge has never worked..... Engine hit about 500°, so I had to put a new one in.

On hindsight I wish I would have gotten a 351, but I went through Jasper's Engines and bought a re manufactured 302. The engine was $3K, with a $600 installation kit. The whole engine swap was fairly easy, and this was my first time ever doing something that big. The biggest PITA was separating the engine from the bell housing. Bolts are too damn hard to get too.

Mine is 2WD, so I imagine yours will be a little more challenging.

I'm looking to do the same kind of fog light install on my truck. How did you wire it in? Would you mind taking a picture?

I originally thought about switching to a 351 but as I started driving the truck and getting familiar with it I'm happy with the 302 and the 16mpg I'm able to get out of the combination, just wish it was more reliable. I'll be fixing that soon with a 95 302 thanks to Tanman's advice.

I had a spare dimmer switch from my old dodge and wired it in about 5 inches above the other one just like you would a normal switch. Worked great but I ended up taking them off not long after. They worked fine I just didn't like the looks of them on the truck.

The most snow my truck has ever seen. The great blizzard of 2015.
