1989 f150 302 w/ mnl trans 4x4
high idle & cruise not working
cold start, idles at 1500 - 1800 for 15 to 20 seconds the idle at 650 - 750 but a little rough
after its driven for awhile 15 miles or so, when its shut off for 10 mins or so it willl idle at 1200 - 1500, then idle at 650 - 750 but a little rough
if you can help, can you tell me where the items that i need to check are located and what they look like
other questions ??
can i change the air filter intake tubes {shorter}
for more air intake and will it give me more power
also what would happen if 5 -10 gals of diesel was put in a full tank of gas {16 gal} same truck

sensors, vacume leaks and that much in the tank surprised its running . . . . the air filter thing why shorter the 5.0 has 2 tubes i could see running them into the grill and going for cold air intake you might gain 5hp but we're not talking alot and shorting them i cant see gaining a noticable amount
