Default What does your i6 idle at?

I just put in a used cluster and can confirm the odometer reading is stored in the cluster and I can keep track of mileage using simple subtraction :P but I'm not sure if it was from a v8 or not so not sure if the tach is correct. At idle, it reads around 600 rpm. So am I alright with using it?

I was gonna say, 600 is about my low point. I think I'm idling at 750 or so. Haven't paid attention to the tach lately.

So just to confirm for an m5od with 308 gearing, does 1500 rpm at 25 in 2nd sound right?

My truck doesn't see 1500 unless I'm blowing past it.

Thank you all for helping me out. Just finished getting the cluster in, putting on hooked wiper arms, changing my split bench to a bucketed bench, fixing the crack in my dash, scraping off the green on my gauges, changing my ignition cylinder to a chrome one, and changing my door handles to metal ones. Oh and taking a rag and bucket of water to my floor while my seat was out. Got quite a bit done today.

Vinyl floor? I just take a hose to mine. The rust holes let it drain out lol
