Post 1987 F150 4x4

Hello Team,

I recently bought a 1987 F150 4x4 standard tranny, 4.9L engine, it is the strongest truck I have seen so far!! but I have a problem, it did not contain the parking brake assembly, I have seen some out there but I am not sure which are compatible can someone help me on this issue? which years or different vehicles control assemblies can I use for my truck? Thanks in advance for any help

The issue will be more about length than year.

You will have to match the options of your truck
standard/ext cab
short/long bed

For sure 87-91 will work, unsure about 92-96

For sure any F150 87-91 will work, someone may chime in about 92-96, I would assume they would work as well but can't be certain. You can probably get the bracket and pedal from any junk yard in good working order but for the cable and other exterior pieces you may be better off getting new. Rust, road grime, and moisture do a number on e-brake cables over the years and anything you pull off of a donor vehicle probably wouldn't even be worth installing.

It is possible that someone upload a picture of a 87-91 F150 parking brake assembly area? it is possible that the area for mine was modified and I have no clue, with a reference it will really help me. Thanks in advance for any help
