With no lift you are going to have trouble fitting anything larger than a 31x10.5 regardless of what size wheel. In general the more negative the offset the better. A -43 would be a great choice for a truck with a 4" lift and 33x12.5" tires, but will rub the bumper and radius arms at stock height. A 285/70/17 will rub at stock height.

i recommend sticking with 15" wheels. More choices. Tires are cheaper.

Others have said these coils on the front will give me the lift I need AND act as a leveling kit for this truck........thoughts? Would this help with rubbing on a 285/70/17?

From JEGS.......Moog Front Coil Springs $62.99

Also curious, IF I use these coils, what kind of replacement shocks/struts do I need to install? (sorry I'm a newbie at this 4x4 stuff)

I have those exact springs on my truck, but with stock alcoa wheels.

I have 32x11.5x15 tires and they rub the radius arms at full lock in certain turning situations. If I had more negative offset on my wheels, it might not rub the radius arms, but it would probably rub the bumper during turning. I am using stock length shocks.

There is a big thread here somewhere that talks about all of the moog springs - search for moog and you should find it.

If you swap springs be prepared to get a camber bushing alignment - your new tires will get ruined very quickly without it.

KYB Excel-G - they are also called GR-2. I paid about $25 apiece for them at rockauto. If you plan on doing anything more than driving your truck on the road, you might want to get something a little nicer, But for my purposes they do great and the ride is excellent.

You'll need to see if your truck has two shocks per side up front or just one - if it does not have the "quad shock option" you only need to order the two for the front that mount behind the axle. The rear will only have two and you need the 4x4 version for the correct length.
