Found it odd since I can still drive it however runs terribly but can eventually get up to 60mph. No real get up and go and Is not burning fuel correctly and Idels rough. Ok so I removed the port adapter off the fuel rail expecting fuel to spray out but nothing did. I even started the truck anticipating fuel everywhere while I set the fuel pump to run continually while testing. Nothing came out of the rail. Any ideas how this could happen?
See Attached short video of the railing with no shrader valve on.

Hi
Inexperience is a harsh teacher. I’ve destroyed the top bolt hole that holds my starter to the transmission. The bolt was seized, I tried to work it back and fourth slowly and it still broke. The motor is out of the truck so I have a clear shot at the broken bolt. I tried heating it up with an acetylene torch to remove it that way, but I put too much heat on it and warped the blind hole, it is deformed now (See Pic). Tried to use a hammer and chisel to turn the bolt and every time I hit the bolt it chipped. Last option I could think of is using and easy out bolt extractor…...well It broke that in the hole also. In trying to get the broken extractor out I used an air chisel with the pointed end. It kept walking off and would hit the transmission housing as you can see with the huge divots by the starter hole. My final thought was to take my dremel tool and cut length wise down the hole to relieve pressure, but that voice in the back of my head is saying don’t do that. To summarize the hole is melted, has a broken bolt and extractor in it. Any help is much appreciated.
this would be only one of my issues I’ve found since buying this truck a couple of months ago. I’ve taken care of vacuum leaks, EGR, Throttle control module. Tomorrow changing out the temperature coolant sensor since I’m getting an error code for that.

1991 F-150 custom 2WD 300-6 auto 220K
I love this old truck and want to hang on to it. I’ve had it since ‘96 however the intermittent hard shifting is getting hard to take.( No pun) So I take it to local, reliable tranny shop and after they do their diagnosis they come back with, they can rebuild tranny but not guarantee that will fix hard shifting. Their reason is the E4OD of this vintage is prone to bad electrical input due to corrosion, bad sensors, shorting out in the ECU and or shorts in the dash. Has anyone else had this happen? Is my tranny hard shifting due to electrical issues or worn out internal parts?
thx

Hi...
We took the motor out of my 93 F150 but before my neighbor helped me and we were successful I had some difficulty pull the engine myself. When I attempted it myself I removed all six bell housing bolts and disconnected all wires and cables. Hooked the motor up to the hoist elevating it and rocking it back and fourth and it wouldn't come out. I got under the truck to see what the problem is, and saw one side was coming loose but the other side wasn’t. The image shows were what I thought was the problem. I thought a rusted out alignment dowel

So….was driving and the truck (1990 f150, 302w, manual transmission) got stuck in gear would go back to neutral…felt like 3rd or 4th but I’m not sure. I pulled over got a screwdriver and I aligned the shifter rails. They were very hard to move, but I got them to where I believed it was neutral. Start it up still in gear…had it towed to a shady shop that was the closest to me. “Shop” (I put that in quotes because they don’t even look like a shop)…. says I need a new transmission; I think it’s the shift forks….ideas? The trans worked flawlessly before, and 2 years ago I did the clutch (I put a Luk in) and the master and slave cylinder. No gears made noise before this except for the occasional grinding but that’s a problem between the steering wheel and seat….what do yall think? Go get a second opinion?

Hi y'all, I'm going around patching leaks in my 1987 AOD and purchased this kit off of eBay since I had a leaking shift linkage. It came with the shift seal, TV seal, and an O-ring. I have replaced the two seals but cannot figure out where the O ring is supposed to go. I didn't see one when I took apart the linkage and haven't been able to find any mention of it in forums. Anyone here done this job or know where this belongs?
