I recently picked up a 2023 XLT. It is configured with a good amount of tech and upgrades, and it was priced fairly for this market with only 22,400 miles.
Anyway, one thing that is missing is seat memory. I was hopeful that the MyKey would have had the ability to save a full profile to is similar to other brands of vehicles, but it does not. I never had the Mykey before so I had no idea what it did until I dug in

Anyway, does anyone know if it can be added to my truck? In the past, a lot of options had wiring installed but features not activated. And chance that is the case here?

Thanks!

When pulling the grill and monkeying with the emblem, has this caused the camera to need alignment/calibration after?
many thanks for your input.

Given the ordeal I went through with the startup rattle when I purchased my 2013 back in 2017, I'm trying to do a bit of homework for my next round. I've been eyeballing a 2021 FX4, 3.5 Eco with only 19K miles on it. Out of curiosity I asked AI about this model year for F150s and based on what it says below, perhaps I should keep looking. Sounds like a handful.... Any thoughts from 2021 owners?
Major Issues with the 2021 Ford F-150
The 2021 Ford F-150, the first model year of the 14th generation, has a mixed reliability score of 58/100 and a high complaint rate (1,021 owner complaints) due to being a first-year redesign autoreliabilityindex.com. Buyers should be aware of several recurring problems and recalls.

Top reported issues CarComplaints.com+2

10-Speed Automatic Transmission Problems – Harsh or delayed shifts, shuddering, and occasional failure to engage gears. Some owners have had to reset adaptive tables or replace the transmission control module. A class-action lawsuit is underway, and some have pursued Lemon Law claims Pickup Truck +SUV Talk.

Rear Axle Bolt Failures – Two recalls address sheared bolts on the rear axle, especially in PowerBoost towing packages. This can cause loss of axle support and is a safety concern Pickup Truck +SUV Talk.

Electrical Issues – Wiring insulation damage from rodents/squirrels, intermittent power loss, and problems with infotainment and accessories CarComplaints.com+1.

Steering Wheel Vibrations – Often due to unbalanced tires, but can also indicate alignment or suspension issues www.automotorblog.com.

Cruise Control Malfunctions – Some owners report cruise control slowing or failing to engage www.automotorblog.com.

Fuel System & Cooling Issues – Excessive oil consumption, radiator leaks, and fuel system faults have been reported CarComplaints.com+1.

Windshield Wiper & Airbag Light Problems – Wiper failure and intermittent airbag warning lights are common www.automotorblog.com.

Trailer Wiring Issues – Faulty wiring can affect towing safety www.automotorblog.com.

Recalls & Investigations CarComplaints.com+1

26 recalls on record, including wiring, seat, and power steering issues.

Multiple NHTSA investigations into electrical, transmission, and drivetrain problems.

Two recalls specifically for rear axle bolt failures Pickup Truck +SUV Talk.

Reliability context
The 2021 F-150’s power train (315 complaints) and electrical systems (117 complaints) are the most problematic categories autoreliabilityindex.com. Power train issues are often costly, and electrical faults can be intermittent and hard to diagnose. The high recall count and above-average complaint rate suggest that early production had unresolved design issues.

Bottom line
If reliability is a priority, the 2021 F-150 carries more risk than later model years. Major concerns include the 10-speed transmission, rear axle bolt failures, and electrical faults. Buyers should budget for potential repairs, consider an extended warranty, and inspect for recall compliance before purchase.

2025 tremor 3,000 miles, at 15-40 mph any sharp bump there is a loud pop from the RF 75% of the time, which is making it hard to find! Everything is tight and looks perfect, it won't do it rocking the truck stationary just when the wheel drops or hits a sharp bump. The dealer had it for 3 days but couldn't tell where it's coming from yet. Hoping someone else may have had similar issue repaired?

Discovered that my passenger side headlamp on my 2023 KR has broken tabs and the light doesn't function correctly. Little teed off because there was nothing on the carfax showing a wreck (yes, I know it's up to a shop to input that) and the new lamp is over $1k.

Has anyone swapped these out? Other than having to take the front grill and parts off, is there anything that needs to be programmed once the new light is installed?

If I may..... My 1 year old 2025 Lariat has been at the dealership service dept for 36 straight days. A year ago on 200 mile drive home from purchasing new, I noticed whine on decel from 80 mph on interstate coupled with pretty good vibration up from floor board to passenger seat. When finally able to get in for service at local dealer after neither went away- A faulty pinion bearing was diagnosed for the whine and replaced. After 2 weeks I picked up truck and on drive home I knew all was not right. The whine was gone at 80 but the vibration up from floor board was still there-- and there was a NEW rubbing/grinding vibration coming up thru steering wheel and accelerator from 50 mph up. Very noticeable! Called dealer and let them know something still not right(did anyone test ride after fix????) and need to bring back. Took back and a senior service foreman drove it and could feel and hear the new issue and said definitely something wrong. Ok, from then to now we are 36 days out and they still cant fix it! They have replaced the right hand outer tube axle bearing- and issue was still there. They said working with ford engineers and have to go by there recommendation of the next fix. Meanwhile, I say-- look into front differential where you fixed the bearing-- its got to be something in that original fix thats not right! But they say their sonic vibration stethoscope says nothing wrong there so they wont check! Then field rep engineer comes in- and he says- replace the accelerator pedal! OMG-- if I were a betting man-- I would bet--that aint gonna fix it!!!!!!So we wait for pedal to come in and then we will see. This is 3rd straight new truck(2018 and 2021) that have had major issues-- 10 speed trans issues with 2 full trans rebuilds on 2021- because first rebuild failed on way home. Those back to back full rebuilds were on carfax when I went to trade in on 2025. Not good to see that at trade in time!!!! Wife says Im stupid to keep going back to ford. I say- what am I supposed to do- go buy a tyota!! Sorry so long winded-- ford needs to be better. And I need better luck - thanks for the ear

being that the battery is 3 years old and that’s when my other one died, I just replaced it with another H6. Came home, hooked up the charger, and after 2 hrs, still on 3, charger is hot, battery is ok.

this charger worked fine on my last 4 F150s (didn’t try it on my F250)…chances the charger is just done?

thoughts?

the ground is the ground right next to the battery and the positive is hooked under the 13mm bolt on the terminal…same spots as my last 4 trucks.

My 2022 3.3L makes a kind of puffing sound from the driver's side of the engine under load, at roughly 1500 rpms. Usually notice when going up a hill from a slow speed. It goes away if you give it a bunch of gas and seems worse when cold. Have 54,000 miles on it, started noticing within past 1,000 miles or so.
Cracked exhaust manifold? I have an appt at dealer next week and it's under full factory warranty (Gold CPO for the win) but curious what others think it could be, just so I have an idea of what to expect.
