Prior owner said they burned some rings racing, put a new motor in and when they were timing it, either got the timing wrong or stretched a chain/snapped a guide. <br />
<br />
I'm not going to take a chance, so out it comes and I'll drop in 10:1 pistons, new bearings, head studs, etc... and since the head is a risk, I'll go through it or replace it entirely.<br />
<br />
While the head is being inspected/replaced, what springs do you guys recommend for a stage 2 Whipple boosted rig? <br />
<br />
Lookin to make mid 700 wheel on pump and won't be spinning it much higher than 7k, I wouldn't think. <br />
<br />
I'm thinking:<br />
<br />
Manly piston and rod drop Ins @ 10:1<br />
ATI damper<br />
Already have billet oil pump and crank gears<br />
Deatschwerls DW400 Fuel pump with wire upgrade<br />
ID1050 injectors<br />
<br />
Anything I'm missing? <br />
<br />
Spring recommendation? <br />
