96 f150 alignment problems after leveling kit
I have a 1996 f150 4x4 that steered fine before and after installing 2in. leveling kit. Knowing that camber would be off and not wanting the tires to wear out, i took it for alignment. As soon as i drove away i felt problems with the steering. if u turn slightly to left or right steering wheel aggressively pulls to that direction and doesnt return. the alignment shop said that they couldnt get alignment within specs and that problem is because of leveling kit. they said adjusting any further would put too much stress on ball joints. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS DONE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS????
ALSO: two articles i found said caster could be off, can this be adjusted
**ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED**

The leveling kit instructions did say that you would need to have it aligned after installing, which I figured it would bcause of camber change.the kit is basically a 2" spacer under front coil spring with coil bracket stud extension.I have been trying to find a 4x4 shop or alignment shop that has done this kit and alignment on a 96 ford TIB without any problems on steering or proper alignment.I am definately going to take it to a differant alignment shop soon. Will post outcome.

96' f150 alignment problems after 2" leveling kit
Back to normal,I took my daughter's truck back to alignment shop to have them put stock caster/camber bushings back in since they wouldnt give refund for not being able to align it and it was not safe to drive. Now it does not pull to whatever direction you turn it.although I know camber is off and will wear tires out unless I constantly rotate them.Still have not had anyone with similar problem.May try different alignment shop if they can give gauranty.

Hey, i remember coming across some i-beam mounting points from tuff country one time, and i think the had eccentric's to help correct alignment in mild lift (2 or so inches)
