Hi Benny - I've read through the posts on the audio upgrade kit on the F150. I have a 2014 F150 Crew with the large screen and the sony sub under the backseat. Looking to upgrade. What would be the best option?

What is the difference between what you offer and the http://www.stage3motorsports.com/PF1...fer-Kit-2.html

Thank you in advance! Mike D

    Hi Mike,
You will need the RMU DL3Z-19A390-B which you already have and DL3Z-19A361-A VSS , These are easy to install on your own. Use the following link and start on page 1 of installation for the F150 then go to 17 for the RMU. If you purchase the VSS from us I will activate it for you. http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....10_18_2013.pdf

Sorry, I just signed up for this forum tonight (to talk to you)... so I didn't know about the character count restriction (and I also didn't realize I rambled on for so long!).... so I broke it up into separate messages. Sorry, Thanks!!

    Very long story short....

    1. If I have factory remote start, and ALL I want is the remote access on my smartphone, do I need anything else other than the RMU Kit?
    2. If all I need is the RMU kit, where does it plug into?

    Thanks very much!

If I don't want the "optional security features", and I already have a factory remote start, I don't know why I'd need either of these kits. And after reading a few of your posts, I believe you were saying that someone in my situation would only need the RMU Kit, and nothing more. My question is, where does the RMU kit plug into?

My service friend also was able to get me the "installation instructions", however when reading the instructions it seems like all of it applies to a vehicle that does NOT have factory remote start. And the images that it shows, all involve installing the RMST and the antenna kits behind the glove box. Interestingly enough, the installation instructions appear to show different wiring harnesses that what came with the additional kits that I have, so I don't think I even have the right kits even if I DO need them.

I wasn't able to find clear directions on how to install, so I didn't attempt, and instead decided to bring it to my dealer to have them install. They had never seen one before, and no tech there had ever installed one. They called in an outside specialist they use for aftermarket remote start installs, and he told them that I would need to purchase additional kits ("IVU & Harness Kit" DL3Z-15603-C and "Base Security Kit Type A" DL3Z-19A361-A). From what I can tell, one of these is an antenna (and harness) and the other is the "RMST" Module (and a crazy looking harness). I'm confused by this, because I know my truck already has an antenna and a remote start in it (I can find the antenna... I think, installed above the glove box frame, and tied into the TPM module, but I don't know where the factory installed RMST module would be).

    Hi... Benny (I believe?),

I've been scouring the internet for about a month relative to an issue I've been having, and tonight I came across a 67 page thread with many posts relative to my issue, and the posts that seemed most helpful and knowledgeable came from you, so I was wondering if maybe you would be willing to try and answer my question.

I have a 2014 F150 Ecoboost, that came with factory remote start. I want to install the Remote Access control. I have the app on my smartphone. I'm aware of the subscription fees, etc. My questions are regarding the necessary hardware. I'm not interested in any of the "optional" security features. On my own I purchased a DL3Z-19A390-B (RMU kit). I planned to install it myself, and then get some help from a Ford Dealer service friend with the activation/PIN.
